I just saw the solutions to last night's economics test. I did a good job, except I answered something correctly, but for the wrong reason. Also, I didn't read the instructions carefully on something else and gave the numerical answer instead of the parametric answer. I'm not sure how much I'm going to lose for those errors, but I'll definitely have some sort of "A." I guess it would be too much to complain about not getting a perfect score, so I won't. I am happy.

Last night I had my first test of the semester, economics. I think I did really well, but it's hard to be sure. There were a lot of tricky questions that could be interpreted several ways. I hate it when part of the difficulty of taking a test is simply trying to find out what the professor is really asking. Anyway, I'm impressed with my study efforts. It's a shame that I'm not nearly as prepared for my other tests. Looks like it'll be one good test followed by nine disasters. Actually, only seven disasters. I'm going to do well on the other econ tests. I love economics.

...time for war to errupt between Brian and school work. Yes, things were going fine after the peace treaty of mid-December, but the armistice is failing due to recent infractions by school work.
See, I've already been reduced to making bad analogies. Actually, this semester I don't seem to mind having tons of work. This is probably because I've actually been putting forth a respectable effort. This week though, I've got lots of reading, project research, a midterm, plus lots of homework. In addition to that, I've got to create a website for TRACS and go to Thursday's dance (since I promised peeps I would). Oh, and this week I'm also hoping to be awarded a research opportunity that I don't have time for. This will be a very interesting week.
By the way, if anyone out there wants to do a logo for TRACS, please do so. Basically, it should have something instantly recognizable as a roller coaster and maybe show a ferris wheel or carousel or something. It must also look good in black and white, since it'll be on fliers.

Tonight it seems that I should write something, but I've got nothing. Actually, there's a lot going on, but everything is a work-in-progress, and I don't talk about anything unless it's a sure thing. Maybe it's time for another Haiku. Why not?
Little Telephone
Once you were new and shiny
Now with character
Yes, it may not be perfect, or even cool anymore, but I still love my friend, Telephone.

Tonight, I went with Masha and John to see Love Actually in Gregory Hall (same lecture hall as my economics class). What a great movie! Really, it's got to be one of my favorite three movies, ever. I'm not going to give a whole review, so you'll have to see it yourself. I will say I particularly enjoyed the scene of the guy with the cue cards, and the scene when Jamie goes to Portugal to find Aurelia.
That was about the only event of significance today. A rather ordinary day, but, unexpectedly, one of the best Valentine's Days. Love to everyone, from family, from friends, from God.

It's official! Thrill Ride And Coaster Society (TRACS) is now a registered organization at the University of Illinois!
This is so freaking cool! Instead of joining an organization, Jim and I created our own! Props to Jim for the majority of the name, by the way. There's so much to do. I've got to make a website, put fliers up, plan events and meetings, and Jim has to get us some funds. That reminds me, I found it funny that Jim has to go to a class for his position of treasurer, but I don't have to do anything! It's nice to be the president. Read our statement of purpose.
Social organization for those interested in the technology, art, history, and enjoyment of roller coasters and amusement parks. Visit parks, discuss amusement industry news, and socialize with other enthusiasts.
Fantastic!

Prompted by suggestion, I'll discuss my weekend.
Saturday, Jim and I drove north to attend Christina's birthday party. The party was fun because I got to spend a lot of time with my friends. We had pizza, played cranium and card games, watched a bad movie, went to chicken and spice, and inspected an anti-aircraft gun. Jim, Shane, and I had the idea to give CC a website to display pics from her new camera. www.sakurahime.com A good time was had by all, with lots of laughs as always. Happy Birthday Christina!
Sunday brought a birthday party for two more people - my mother and sister. We went to Grandma's to hang out and have cake and ice cream. Uncle Bob brought the video from the ski trip, so we watched parts of that. Darin told me that he was visiting his cousin at ISU this Friday, so I told him to stay in Urbana Friday night. That should be cool, although I wish there were some better concerts I could take him to that night.
Speaking of concerts: The Vines with Jet at the Vic on March 26!!! How cool is that?!?!?! It's been soooo long since I've been to a concert up north. It will be fantastic!
There's so much going on, I wish I could write about even a little bit of all the new news. It wouldn't really fit the style of this blog. Then again, it's my blog and I can do whatever I want...just not now...I have to study now.

Paradigm shifts are magnificent, and sublime indeed are the unforeseen agents that cause them.

Lacking inspiration to write something original, here's something I found in the news:
Last year, five people were slightly injured when a startled cow jumped a fence.
Yup. Also, Shane may have been responsible for the incident.
