One More Thing

I really should have gotten a separate hotel room. For some reason, sharing a hotel room with my parents just seems a strange. Come to think of it, sharing a hotel room with anyone seems creepy to me these days. Anyone with me on this, or am I becoming a recluse?

Another Message From The Road

At dinner tonight I came to realize something curious - I dislike most people, yet trust them. This viewpoint is opposite that of the general populace. Allow me to illustrate.

When my parents couldn't finish their dinners the waitress asked if they wanted a box. They declined since we're at a hotel without a fridge. However, I suggested we give the leftovers to the kid at the front desk. My parents doubted he would accept; they thought he wouldn't trust us. When they asked if I would accept free Olive Garden leftovers from a guest staying at my hotel, I said "absolutely!"

So, there's the difference. Perhaps I'm naive, but that's preferable than living in perpetual suspicion of malicious intentions. Oh, and the statement, "I dislike most people," well, I assume you already know that.

Yes, I know this is a lame post, but it's all I can do pass the time at this hotel. By the way - this Holiday Inn Express is very nice. It certainly has gotten Holiday Inn out of my dog house.

Hiatus

I'm writing this from a Holiday Inn Express somewhere in Michigan. My parents and I are going to Mackinac Island, MI for a few days. I understand there are no automobiles on the island, but plenty of shops selling fudge and candles.

Flying High

By some miracle of God, I did well academically this semester. Best of all, I actually had a lot of fun this semester, too. God really does provide in abundant and amazing ways! One more easy class this summer and I'll have my degree!

The Posting Well Is Running Dry

Haven't posted anything for a while. Here's a link to three stories my friend, Troy, wrote about bears. They're so hilarious I usually have to stop midway through to calm down, then return later so I can continue reading.

How Do I Get Myself Into These Things?

Bad thing: A final exam in a mechanical engineering course.

Good thing: The professor provides an equation packet for use during the final.

Bad thing: The equation packet is so large it has its own table of contents.

That's all?

Tonight I said goodbye to the Navigators who aren't going to be around this summer. It's too bad, a year was not long enough. At least I know I'll see them in heaven!
