I went mountain biking again tonight. This time it was with four other people and it was just awesome. The trails in Palos Verdes are amazing. After a while, I couldn't even tell if I was going uphill or downhill. It's down right freaky when your bike is gaining speed when you swear you going uphill. All this at a local hill. I can't wait to drive out to the mountains!
I hate to say it, but I'm starting to like California, even if it is just for cycling.

After searching for a flight to Seattle, Orbitz returned a fare of $182. That sounded really good, so I clicked it and it said something like "we're sorry but that fare is now $354." Now I can't find anything under $300. Stupid Orbitz getting my hopes up...
My hard drive stopped working over the weekend. I bought a new one and, after much praying, was able to revive the old one just long enough to transfer some essential files.
Work is still dull and an insult to my intelligence. I work with some really great people, though. There's a Christian guy named Lupe who has really gone out of his way to make sure I'm meeting the right people and have all the right info. He even introduces me as an engineer, which makes me happy since my job is more management oriented. Though I complain a lot about this job, I suppose it's best this way. God knew that it was better for me to have good coworkers than good job, at least starting out.
I went mountain biking with a guy from work on Saturday. He drove me to nearby Palos Verdes where the land is so unstable due to tectonic activity that nothing can be built on it! It was love at first sight when I saw those trails. Only Colorado could surpass it in beauty and technical challenge. Next time I'll bring my camera so you all can see.

The furniture has been delivered, the power has been turned on, and internet service has been activated. I'm finally living out of my apartment. Only hours ago did I locate essential items such as silverware and towels. No rubber ducky, though. Guess I'll have to unpack more boxes.
I wish I had time to post some photos, but it'll have to wait until after the holiday weekend.
Masha and John are getting married in less than 48 hours! It's going to be so great to be there. I've been asked to be an usher, too!
This weekend is going to be so much fun. Wish I could have known earlier that I could have had more time off. Oh well, next time I'll make it a four day weekend! Looking forward to seeing you all!
