I want to speak, but I can't make a sound.
I want to write, but creativity can't be found.
There's a bear in my house, but I'm not afraid.
There's a war in my mind, I can't run away.

It's been way too long since the last post. Music is awesome! Yeah, that should do, at least for a few days.

Since moving to California, I receive an occasional comment on my slight Chicago accent. This reminds me how much I enjoy listening to people with accents, and it also makes me wonder how an American accent sounds to non-Americans.
To me, the British sound sophisticated. An Irish accent sounds rugged, yet charming. Germans sound knowledgeable and harsh. French is soft and snooty. The people of Jamaica, Trinidad, and other island nations have an easy-going, friendly sound.
What do I sound like to these people? Guess I should start asking. American accents probably sound dirty, passionless, and ridiculous. I just can't imagine anyone enjoying hearing an American speak.
